The 6th grade class is working on music genres and different types of famous singers. We are researching in pairs of students a person and are discovering great things about each person. When we have found all of the information we need we are all going to put the info into a flipchart, or a document.
Our 6th grade choir has been learning a lot about our National Anthem. They've been doing a really great job learning the lyrics and singing! 6th Grade has been the pioneers for sharing their excitement about Choir and getting more members to join.
We've been learning a lot about our singing and what it means to have good posture. We also have learned about good breathing techniques. The 6th graders are also super good at vocabulary! We worked really hard with learning about our Tempo (how fast or slow a song goes) and a lot of words that describe the tempo.
The 8th graders are currently working on writing their own songs! Some students are making the song completely up, and others are discovering the note patterns from traditional songs (Happy Birthday; Twinkle, Twinkle; etc.).
